Brite Tone

Protect the look and the tone

About the Product

Brite Tone Instrument Finish is a high solids, durable, clear finish with exceptional clarity. It is by far CrystaLac's hardest and clearest top coat. Brite Tone will build to a high depth very quickly due to its high solids content and will not leave a blue cast on dark exotic wood. Brite Tone is scratch resistant and adheres to wood, metal, plastic and glass.

  • Hassle-Free Application – Whether you prefer brushing or spraying, Brite Tone is easy to use and self-leveling, making it a breeze to achieve professional-looking results. Plus, it conveniently cleans up with water, eliminating the hassle of dealing with harsh solvents.

  • Preserves the Original Look – Say goodbye to yellowing over time. Brite Tone Instrument Finish is non-yellowing, allowing your dark exotic wood and other surfaces to maintain their original color and beauty for years to come.

  • Peace of mind – Crafted with care in the USA and environmentally safe, Brite Tone is low in VOC and free from toxic chemicals, ensuring a safer work environment and no obnoxious paint odor.

  • More time for you – You no longer have to wait hours while your project dries. Brite Tone dries quickly in just 2 to 4 hours, allowing you to complete your projects efficiently and enjoy your finished pieces sooner.

  1. Environment: for best results, apply Brite Tone in a room with the temperature between 68-75ºF.

  2. Sealing: Prior to using Brite Tone, we recommend using a CrystaLac sealer to enhance the natural colors in the wood and to minimize grain raise.

  3. Recoat Time: Wait 4 hours between each coat. You do not need to sand between coats.

  4. Cure Time: Since it is waterborne and doesn’t rely on harsh chemicals, Brite Tone can take up to 30 days to fully cure.
